Michelle Murray the “B2B Copywriting Queen’s” Bio
Why choose Michelle Murray?
As a B2B sales and marketing professional for major technology firms, Michelle knows firsthand how to sell technical solutions to decision makers, all the while nurturing complex deals through committees. Her in-the-trenches experience uniquely informs the sales tools she creates for accelerating each phase of the sales cycle.
Michelle started as a computer programmer at GTE (acquired by Verizon). Soon, she was teaching programming at the Bryant Stratton business college and directing technology to solve a wide array of business problems.
A Proven Track Record in Writing for the Consultative Technology Sale
While at Price Waterhouse Coopers and American Software, Michelle honed her consulting skills, focusing on supply chain optimization in presale and post- sale settings. During this time, the numerous software and consulting documents she wrote expedited sales of enterprise software implementations, consulting redesign sessions, and end-user training. Once the customer selected her solution, she worked closely with them to follow through with world-class service.
She sharpened her sales writing and her marketing savvy while at DocuCorp (acquired by Oracle). Working closely with the sales team, she developed lead generation campaigns, sales collateral, proposals, and performed sales demos with a laser focus on ROI. As a result, she was tapped to deliver presales in the UK for American Express and Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation, paving the way for DocuCorp to expand in Europe.
After working in presales, Computer Associates hired her to sell information management solutions and consulting services. At CA, she successfully navigated these complex sales through an inherently longer sales cycle, most notably with Equifax and The Weather Channel.
She later launched a technology recruiting and staffing business, where her exceptional writing generated faster response rates. In particular, candidates and customers constantly remarked, “I get email messages all day. Clearly, there was something about your message that made me call you.” Fascinated, Michelle decided to develop this passion for persuasion… as a freelance sales writer.
